TL is a commercial strategy firm in the luxury arena, with 9 offices and a team of 35 women across the Americas. In the luxury travel ecosystem, TL Portfolio represents hotels, DMCs and other hospitality suppliers around the globe to the leading travel buyers throughout the Americas. TL Scene is our Events division, TL Voice is dedicated to PR and Content and Consulting is led by TL Mind.

About the Role

We are seeking a high-performing, dynamic sales leader with a passion for luxury travel and a proven ability to build strong industry relationships. This role is ideal for a motivated, strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering exceptional results.

As the Luxury Leisure Travel Director, you will drive direct sales efforts across North America, partnering with tour operators, travel agencies (online and offline), and third-party intermediaries to maximize revenue and grow market share. You will represent TL Portfolio with professionalism and ensure our clients maintain a strong presence within the luxury travel industry.

This is a remote position based on the West Coast, with frequent travel required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing initiatives to exceed annual revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, and key consortia partners.
  • Manage a robust travel schedule, including sales trips, trade shows, and hosted FAM trips.
  • Lead global efforts for agency and operator engagement, ensuring alignment with brand objectives.
  • Track budgets, monitor spend and maintain accurate records of sales and marketing activities.
  • Conduct product presentations and training sessions for trade partners.
  • Collaborate with airlines on partnerships for FAMs, marketing campaigns, and events.
  • Provide timely reporting and maintain data integrity in systems such as Salesforce and Expensify.
  • Participate in weekly team calls and contribute to strategic planning discussions.

Role Requirements

  • Experience : Minimum 5 years in the travel or hospitality industry, preferably in sales roles for hotels or luxury travel brands.
  • Network : Established connections within the hospitality and luxury travel sectors.
  • Travel : Ability to travel at least once per month, including international destinations.
  • Skills : Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills; self-driven and results-oriented.
  • Location : Must reside on the West Coast (ideally California).

    $80,000 – $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
