Transplant, Nurse Practitioner - Nights Hackensack University Medical Center - Hackensack, New Jersey Hackensack University Medical Center is seeking a full-time, night shift Nurse Practitioner to join our transplant surgery team. This position will cover Inpatient Transplant Patients for nights and weekends as needed. The Transplant Nurse Practitioner assists, monitors, and manages the day-to-day needs of patients as requested by, in conjunction with, and under the supervision of a physician. Ideal candidate would have prior inpatient surgical practice experience, preferably nephrology experience. Full time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner position. Schedule is flexible however the probable schedule is (3) 13.5 hr shifts / week. Work with a team of specialized surgeons and physician assistants 24 / 7 Coverage needed with flexible shifts Evening, Nights & Weekends Primarily Inpatient care, some Outpatient office coverage Orientation period 3-6mos Primarily Kidney and some Pancreas transplants Conduct histories and physicals on transplant candidates Provide pre and post-surgical care Collaborate with nephrologists in dialysis planning Orders lab work and tests in accordance with national standards Provides education and support to patients and families. New Grads welcome to apply Requirements : New Jersey APN license Graduate of an accredited school of nursing MSN with Advanced Practice Nurse credentials Demonstrates effective communication and leadership skills including teaching principles, organizational and presentation skills Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification. COMPENSATION : Starting Base Salary : $123,260.80 Annually HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members.
