Background :
The Recruiting Administrative Support Services (RASS) is a contract with the United States Army Recruiting Command (USAREC) to provide dedicated support services for the Recruiting and Retention School Recruiters Company Command Teams and select HQ staff directorates, directly impacting mission accomplishment. This is a temporary position ending January 31st, 2026.
Position : Administrative Assistant (General Clerk Level 3)
Place of Duty : Warren, OH
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provide general administrative services.
- Prepare and manage correspondence in accordance with DoD, Army, and USAREC guidelines.
- Maintain calendars and schedule meetings.
- Offer technical support for IT and office equipment maintenance / repairs.
- Receive and manage visitors.
- Handle incoming mail and outgoing postal requests.
- Manage incoming correspondence, staff actions, and events.
- Establish and maintain files within prescribed suspense periods.
- Manage Army Defense Travel Systems (DTS) in accordance with Joint Travel Regulation and DTS.
- Collect, maintain, and report unit or organizational production and resource data.
- Maintain Digital Training Management System (DTMS) and Medical Protection System (MEDPROS).
- Receive and enter Bulk Prospect Lead Lists into the appropriate database.
- Manage and submit supply requests and maintain adequate office supplies.
Education and Experience :
Required :
High school diploma or GED.At least one (1) year of proven experience applicable to the position.Customer service skills and experience.Detail- and task-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills.Experience with software packages such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.Successful completion of a background investigation (National Agency Check).U.S. Citizenship.Preferred :
Certifications or training courses in typing or office software.Working knowledge of government chain of command and administrative policies.Experience working with military administrative departments.Military Veterans and Spouses encouraged to apply.Additional Information :
Required Availability Date : ASAPPosition Type : Part-time (30 hours / week), SCA – Hourly non-exemptTravel Requirement : Travel is not expected for this position.Salary Type : Hourly ($17.77 per hour)This position qualifies for a health and welfare stipend of $4.93 per hour
