Duration - Contract to Permanent (W2 Basis)
Shift - 1st Shift
Job Responsibilities
- Development and improvement of processes along with developing the most productive / cost effective method of manufacture.
- Create detailed work instructions, operating and set up procedures.
- Utilize lean manufacturing techniques.
- Develop and maintain process sheets, PFMEAs and control plans.
- Develop and maintain IATF 16949 documentation and develop and improve manufacturing processes.
- APQP participation - includes attendance at key program meetings and participation in new product launch management.
- PPAP facilitation and application of statistical techniques.
- Assist with problem solving and quality concern resolution.
- Communicate with customers as necessary on problem resolution, customer performance rating improvement, etc.
- Evaluate pareto data and champion projects to reduce scrap
- Communicate with machine builders to optimize machine layout and strategy
- Assist in supplier development as required
- Assist with process improvements and data analysis
- Visit plants, customers and suppliers periodically on a variety of issues.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications & Skills :
BS in Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering or equivalent.Four to six years experience in a manufacturing environment.Robotics and PLC knowledge is a plusThorough understanding IATF 16949 familiarity with DQLP / MBNQA criteria and industrial engineering principles.Experience with PFMEA, DOE and process improvements preferred.Excellent mechanical aptitude.Must be capable of performing duties with limited supervision.Excellent interpersonal skills to permit effective interaction with all levels of client and external customers.Computer proficiency in a Windows environment utilizing Microsoft OfficeCompany Description
