We are seeking a strategic leader who can work closely with senior leadership to deliver impactful, business-aligned outcomes.  You will integrate cybersecurity principles and foster integration to accelerate advanced AI solutions for security applications. As part of our Chief Security Office, you’ll be entrusted with safeguarding our global assets, championing transparency, and leading the charge in mastering the use of AI for cybersecurity - always staying one step ahead of tomorrow’s threats.

What You'll Do :

Drive Strategic AI & Cybersecurity Leadership : champion the delivery and integration of AI solutions, architecting and implementing robust cyber-risk management frameworks tailored to AI technologies. Ensure rigorous compliance with evolving standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., NIST AI RMF, MITRE ATLAS), conduct proactive adversarial testing and lead secure coding audits to consistently evolve with next-generation AI technologies.

Technical Expertise & Innovation : provide deep technical mastery in AI / ML engineering (LLMs, agentic systems, secure ML workflows), cloud platforms, and model development.  Advance innovations in threat detection, response and mitigation.  Lead experimentation and model validation using state-of-the-art frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain, and Hugging Face.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration : build and mentor a multidisciplinary team that fosters a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.  Collaborate across department and external partners to align AI initiatives with organizational goals and business outcomes.

What You'll Bring :

Master's degree (MS / MA) desired in Computer Science or Cybersecurity.

10+ years of related experience preferred (AI / ML, software engineering, cybersecurity)

Demonstrated excellence in leading large-scale AI Innovations

Deep understanding modern AI architectures (e.g., transformers, RAG, agentic systems); Advanced expertise with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and secure data environments

Deep expertise in AI engineering and architecture, a robust cybersecurity background, and a proven ability to lead high-performing teams in a dynamic environment.

Strategic business acumen and executive presence

Strong experience managing high-performance teams (including offshore management)

Our Director-Cybersecurity, earns between $171,000-$256,400 USD Annual, Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education / training.
