ABOUT THIS JOB :

  • Got Light is looking for skilled light board operators for special events, corporate events, general sessions, product launches, and more!
  • This is an on-call position as an independent contractor.
  • We're looking for people who can easily jump in to assist with various events!
  • DESIRED SKILLS  Proficient on the grandMA3.
  • Basic knowledge of electricity, power distribution, and lighting equipment.
  • Installation and operation of uplighting, theatrical fixtures, LED lights, dimming / control.
  • Able to work efficiently and under pressure.
  • Comfortable making changes on the fly.
  • EXPERIENCE  Working with clients and lighting designers.
  • Busking and Cueing.
  • Programming of static / ambient lighting as well as concert / performance lighting.
  • DMX over Ethernet (ART-NET, sACN) networking.
  • Basic knowledge of circuit loads.
  • SCHEDULE & AVAILABILITY On-call / event based work.  Nights / Late Hours / Weekends Independent Contractor position IC REQUIREMENTS Business License (EIN) required.
  • Carry $1M in liability insurance.
  • QUALIFICATIONS | PHYSICAL DEMANDS General knowledge of event production or technical theater.
  • Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to work quickly under pressure, and manage chaos with ease.
  • Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
  • Ability to push / pull / lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working on ladders.
  • Engage in full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists.
