The Manager, Engineering supervises and provides technical direction to one or more implementation teams made up of software and test engineers.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Designing, building, and releasing software features and bug fixes for the Relias' platform as a senior engineer developer.
• Leading and growing a team of software engineers in an Agile environment
• Recommending strategies for complex technical problems
• Developing domain and technology knowledge, including services, methodologies, strategies, standards, tools, and best practices for development processes.
• Acting as an agile delivery lead and actively participating in backlog management, sprint planning, feature refinement, agile

YOU'VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES IF YOU HAVE:

• 3 years leading, mentoring, and developing technical talent
• 7+ years experience in software development
• 2 - 5 years of .NET Core, C#
• 1+ years of SQL Server
• Experience with ASP.NET Web Forms
• Experience with Agile methodology and SDLC
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• Microsoft AZ-900: Azure Fundamentals Certificaion (if certification is not current must be obtained within the first 60 days of employment)
• AZ-204 Certification (if certification is not currentm must be obtained within six months of start date and maintained on an annual basis)
• Hands-on experience with system design, service-oriented architecture, and microservices
• Strong understanding of the following technologies
  • Object Oriented languages such as C# or Java
  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Typescript, and Angular
  • SQL Server or other relational databases
  • Public cloud-hosted solutions like Azure, AWS, GCP
• Experience leading engineering teams and delivering using an agile methodology
• Demonstrated competence in problem-solving, time management, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to mentor and grow a team of software engineers

IT WOULD BE NICE IF YOU HAVE:

• 1+ years of using a modern Front End frameworks (Angular, React, Svelte, etc.)
• Mobile Development Experience
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps
• Experience with Microsoft Azure

Relias values collaboration and wants to ensure that our team members have opportunities to work with their teams regularly for professional development opportunities. Our flexible hybrid work environment requires that you live in the state of North Carolina, within a commutable distance to our office (~1-hour commute from the Raleigh/Durham airport area). You would be expected to work in our Morrisville, NC Headquarters approximately 30/40 days/quarter.
