Job Description :

Terra Labor Consulting Group is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Underwriter to join our operations team.

This position is responsible for reviewing documentation, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical thinking, sound decision-making, and the ability to maintain accuracy and focus in a fast-paced environment.

The Underwriter plays a key role in maintaining the quality and integrity of all documentation, ensuring that every file meets established guidelines and operational requirements.

Responsibilities :

  • Review and verify documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development team to assess opportunities and structure deals.
  • Analyze data and documentation to identify potential risks or discrepancies.
  • Prepare risk assessments and recommendations for management.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.
  • Support process improvement initiatives to strengthen compliance, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Assist in drafting contracts, agreements, and supporting documentation.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

Requirements :

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Legal Studies, Communications, or a related field (preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in underwriting, compliance, documentation review, or data analysis.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize and present complex information clearly.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing or drafting documentation.
  • Solid understanding of compliance principles and risk assessment practices.
  • Ability to prioritize, adapt, and remain organized under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
