Merchandising Sales Specialist

The Field Activity Support Team (FAST) Member plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer experiences by traveling to various stores to execute important merchandising tasks from start to finish. This includes setting up planograms, supporting merchandising and fixture assembly, and ensuring all signage is well-maintained. As part of our commitment to provide a Legendary Customer Experience, FAST Members will also engage positively with customers and team members.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Ensure regular and predictable attendance.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including days, nights, and overtime as needed.
  • Communicate proactively with the District FAST Supervisor regarding task completion and any challenges encountered.
  • Accurately complete planograms and resets in a timely manner.
  • Uphold visual merchandising standards.
  • Conduct store-specific measurements and layout initiatives.
  • Perform accurate inventory cycle counts.
  • Handle store signage efficiently.
  • Assemble merchandise, fixtures, and product displays.
  • Ensure planogram integrity through detailed recovery processes.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by following our GURA approach :

  • Provide exceptional customer experiences that set us apart from competitors.
  • Be prepared to provide peak coverage during busy times.
  • Other duties as assigned might also be required.

    • Qualifications :

  • Previous retail or merchandising experience is necessary; knowledge of farming, ranching, pets / equine, or welding is a plus.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory. Team Members must be able to read, write, and count accurately.

    • Preferred Skills and Abilities :

  • Strong background in farming, ranching, pet / equine, or welding is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities with effective conflict resolution skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to complete tasks independently.

    • Work Environment :

  • Favorable indoor work environment with moderate noise levels.
  • Shifts can vary from store to store, typically lasting at least 4 hours, and may exceed 8 hours.
  • Traveling between store locations using personal transportation is required.
  • Promote a safe work setting for all Team Members and customers, adhering to safety training and guidelines.
  • Workspaces generally consist of hard surfaces with adequate lighting and temperature control.

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to travel as needed to support district operations.
  • Ability to push and pull merchandise weighing up to 2,000 pounds with proper equipment.
  • Occasional lifting or reaching for merchandise overhead is required.
  • Frequent standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders is necessary.
  • Ability to access all areas of the store safely, including selling, stock, and register areas.
  • Proficiently operate store equipment such as computers, cash registers, and more.
  • Ability to handle birds and poultry safely.
  • Complete all required training successfully.
  • Operate and utilize all necessary store equipment effectively.
  • Engage in activities like lifting up to 50 pounds and moving merchandise throughout the store.
  • Capable of moving throughout the store for extended periods of time.
  • This position requires strong physical and mental stamina.
