MAINTENANCE - TRACK LABORER

Track Maintenance Supervisor

Responsible for insuring the Turf and Dirt Tracks are properly maintained for horse racing and training. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities :

• Upkeep of the Race Track Operate tractors on both tracks with specific equipment between daily races and as needed to prepare / insure safe conditions for the horses to use the tracks
• Operate company equipment including water truck and motor grader as needed to maintain the dirt track
• Maintain the turf track with daily watering
• Maintain mowing, weeding and hedge maintenance
• Assist other Team Members with duties
• All other duties as assigned

Reporting Line :

You will report directly to the Track Superintendent then to the Director of Maintenance.

Qualification Requirements :

Educational and / or Experience :

High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Reasoning Ability :

The ability to trouble shoot and resolve issues.

Physical Demands :

You will need to be able Sitting / Standing, Lifting, Kneeling, Bending, Walking / Stretching, Pushing / Pulling, Climbing / Reaching for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment :

Will be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke / secondary smoke environment and seasonal elements.
