Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) at Specialized Transitional Home

Position Overview :
The Specialized Transitional Home is a program designed to assist three to four individuals whose needs cannot be met by less intensive support options. This program offers support in learning life and leisure skills, personal care, and community integration, as outlined in each person's individualized plan
Location / Schedule – 1881 Twin Pines Drive, Macon, Georgia Rotating shifts Sun-Sat 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am
Responsibilities :
- Implement behavior support plans developed by the Behavior Analyst to address crisis situations and challenging behaviors exhibited by individuals in the facility.
- Respond effectively to crisis situations using trained techniques such as de-escalation strategies, calming methods, and behavior redirection to ensure the safety of all individuals involved.
- Collect and document behavioral data during crisis events to track progress and support ongoing intervention planning.
- Collaborate closely with the Behavior Analyst, treatment team members, and facility staff to coordinate crisis management approaches and ensure consistency in behavior support strategies.
- Assist in conducting functional behavior assessments and analyzing behavioral data to identify triggers and patterns that contribute to crisis situations.
- Implementing proactive behavior support strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce the likelihood of harmful behaviors.
- Assist in training home staff on crisis intervention techniques, behavior management strategies, and principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including interventions, progress notes, and incident reports, as required for the RBT role in the home.
Qualifications Needed (education and / or experience) :
Requires High School Diploma.Requires certification as a registered behavioral technicianAt least 1 year working in behavioral health / intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) or related fieldMust have good computer skills.Communications skills and the ability to foster good relationships among others is a plus.Additional Benefits :
