Overview
The Maintenance Supervisor leads a multi craft maintenance crew and engages their team to perform their best in all aspects of their activities at the Narrows Celanese site. They use knowledge of the process, product, people and equipment to improve the reliability, quality and safety of the unit.This role reports to the Site Maintenance Manager and works closely with the operations team, engineering and other supports functions at the Narrows VA site.
Responsibilities
Stewardship – Engages team for zero incident culture
- Creates safety culture within Maintenance teams on proactive hazard recognition and facilitation of safe work execution.
Quality – Ensures work quality (right the first time)
Provides oversight for quality on repairs (minimizes rework)Holds team accountable for quality repairs and procedure adherenceMaintains high standard for housekeeping and job executionEngagement – Creates an environment for teaching, coaching and learning

High School Diploma or equivalent requiredAssociate degree or higher a plusMachinist / Millwright experience highly desirable5+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic2+ years of experience in a leadership roleKnowledge of and experience with continuous improvement practicesSolid computer skills, SAP experience a plusAbility to build partnerships to achieve common goalsAbility to gather trust and confidence of others through honesty, integrity and authenticityAbility to work efficiently, plan and prioritize to meet common goalsJ-18808-Ljbffr
