Field Engineer

Field Engineer – Heavy Civil & Mission Critical Projects 📍 Location:

• Multiple Project Sites in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic (Travel Required) 🏢 Company: Gregory Construction Gregory Construction, a Christian-principled, award-winning contractor, is seeking a Field Engineer to support heavy civil and mission-critical construction projects across the Southeast.
• This role is key to assisting project leadership in ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to Gregory’s high standards of quality and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Superintendents and Project Managers with daily field operations and planning.
• Track project progress, schedules, and resource allocation to meet deadlines.
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to keep projects on schedule.
• Provide support in maintaining safety and quality compliance on-site.
• Prepare daily reports, field documentation, and assist with quantity tracking.
• Participate in layout, survey coordination, and troubleshooting field issues.
• Communicate updates to the project management team and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
• Support in managing materials, equipment, and documentation to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field. 2+ years of construction field experience (heavy civil or mission-critical preferred).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project management or construction software is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, and construction documents.
• Willingness to travel frequently to job sites across the region.
