Designer

Our Creative Services team is searching for our next Designer. Your day starts with creative briefs, partnering with Copywriters/Editors and Project Managers to understand project goals and required deliverables. From there, you’ll develop and refine designs in close collaboration with Art Directors, ensuring every asset aligns with Bio-Rad’s brand standards while elevating the visual impact.

Throughout the day, you’ll work with fellow designers to keep our visual identity consistent across digital, print, and social channels. You’ll manage multiple deadlines, keep projects moving smoothly, and share your work with Art Directors for feedback that sharpens the final product. Ultimately, you’ll be hands-on from concept to final file delivery, helping bring clear, compelling visuals to our marketing efforts.

How You’ll Make An Impact:

• Drive high-volume creative production across digital and print channels to support campaigns, product materials, and internal initiatives.
• Translate creative concepts into polished assets that meet brand standards and technical specifications for both digital delivery and print production.
• Prepare accurate, production-ready files that ensure smooth handoffs to print vendors, developers, and regional teams.
• Collaborate with Art Directors, Copywriters/Editors, and Project Managers to align visual solutions with strategic goals and deliverables.
• Create clear, compelling visuals that communicate both technical and conceptual information effectively.
• Apply current design trends and industry insights to strengthen the quality and relevance of Bio-Rad’s creative output.

What You Bring:

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in graphic arts.
• Work Experience: At least 5 years in an in-house or agency environment, with a strong track record producing integrated marketing materials.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat), AI generative tools, and both digital and print production workflows. Experience working in Figma is a must.
• Strategic Collaboration: Ability to balance creative design with business priorities to ensure alignment with marketing goals.
• Clear Communication: Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate project needs, provide updates, and consistently meet deadlines.
• Team Contribution: Proven success working across diverse asset types and partnering effectively within cross-functional teams.

Location: This position may be based in Hercules, California or Irvine, California and requires the employee to be located within commuting distance of the office.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $86,600 to $119,200 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
