Schedule

Night shift, 7 PM to 7 : 30 AM; every other weekend required, with holiday obligations.

Job Description

The Telemetry unit seeks a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care to patients. This position involves monitoring patients with cardiac issues and maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment. Nurses will be expected to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using Phillips Cardiac Monitors.
  • Administer medications and IV drips per protocol, including Cardizem and Amiodarone.
  • Document patient care and monitor conditions using the Epic charting system.
  • Collaborate with a charge nurse and nursing aides to deliver effective patient care.
  • Respond to emergency situations in accordance with established protocols.
  • Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

    • Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications as per AHA standards.
  • Experience in telemetry or critical care preferred, but first-time travelers are accepted.
  • Must possess a valid nursing license without any background hits disclosed at the time of submission.
