Position Overview
The Sr. Tax Manager will oversee all aspects of tax compliance and strategy for our corporate clients, ensuring that all tax obligations are met efficiently and accurately. This role will involve collaboration with various departments to provide strategic tax planning and support financial reporting processes while staying current with tax regulations. You will manage six team members along side the other Sr. Tax Manager. This role will help our current Partner slow down and eventually exit. During this transition, you will retain their clients and help the practice continue to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the preparation and filing of individuals, trusts, corporations, and partnership tax returns.
- Conduct thorough tax compliance reviews to ensure adherence to federal and state tax laws.
- Provide strategic tax planning and consultation to clients, focusing on optimizing tax obligations.
- Perform tax research and analysis to address complex tax issues and support tax advice.
- Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and tax provision calculations.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize overall tax liabilities for clients.
- Coordinate with external auditors during tax audits and ensure compliance with IRS regulations.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and exceptional service.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is required.7+ years of experience in tax experience in public accounting, specifically in individual, trust, corporations, and partnership taxation.At least 2 years of management experience.Strong understanding of tax regulations, including IRS regulations and federal / state compliance requirements.Proven experience with financial reporting and tax provision processes.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct thorough tax research.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage client relationships and collaborate with team members.Masters in Taxation is a plus.Benefits
