Travel Nurse RN - Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Pre-Post Op - $2,488 per week in Espanola, NM

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : RN Specialty : Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Duration : 10 Weeks Shift : Rotating Day Shift Hours per Shift : 8 or 10 Hours Experience : Minimum of 2 years current experience required in specialty License : State Nursing License Certifications : - BLS certification - ACLS certification - PALS certification - Must pass basic cardiac arrhythmias (BCA) testing during the first week of assignment Must-Have : - Team player - Flexible - Accustomed to fast-paced environment - At least one previous travel assignment Description : Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift. Ensures safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients. Provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses. Coordinates patient care through collaboration with the patient / family and healthcare team. Initiates, utilizes, and documents appropriate protocols and standards of care. Administers medication and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols and documents according to policy. Identifies and meets patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout the episode of care. Assumes responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel. Completes patient population / age-specific / procedure and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards. Floating between departments and / or local locations within 20 miles is required. Weekends and on-call as needed may be required.
