Financial Manager- T5

This is a National Guard Title 5 Excepted Service Position. This National Guard position is for a Financial Manager- T5, Position Description Number NGT5133000 and is part of the MD USPFO, National Guard.

Responsibilities :

• Directs financial management policy in support of the ARNG military organizations and units.
• Serves as the principal financial advisor and the technical expert to the state Adjutant General (AG), USPFO, senior staff management, major subordinate commands, and the Program Budget Advisory Council (PBAC).
• Determines the significant impact of projected DOD, DA, NGB and other government programs affecting the state ARNG's fiscal policies.
• Writes, implements and maintains an effective system of financial management controls for the state ARNG.
• Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.

Requirements :

Qualifications :

Specialized Experience : Must have 1-year equivalent specialized experience to at least the next lower grade level before being eligible for the next grade level. Must have fundamental working experiences with a validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the financial management occupational series and grade. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. Quality of Experience : Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria / assignments must be followed for Dual Status Technician positions.

Education : If you are using Education to qualify for this position, completed undergraduate or graduate education, the awarded college degree should be in one of, or a combination of the following disciplines : accounting, business, finance, economics, math, statistics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organizational management. You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
