Summary
The Energy Engineer II will perform all aspects of facility surveys, commissioning studies, energy analysis and energy modeling as part of an energy consulting team. The successful candidate will work with associates and management to pursue and execute engineering and technical projects involving the analysis, verification, design, and implementation of energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.
Responsibilities
- Work with engineering staff to conduct level I, II, III energy audits per ASHRAE standards as well as whole-building energy modeling of multiple asset types
- Conduct feasibility analyses of renewable energy generation projects for real estate applications
- Write, review, and edit technical reports
- Perform field inspections and observe / perform functional performance tests
- Project Management :
Begin to manage a small portfolio of projects on time, on budget, and with technical proficiency;
Ensure the technical quality, accuracy, and managerial aspects of projectsPlan project activities, update project forecasts, and maintain accurate records of project milestonesCommunicate project budget, check hours booked, provide task training, oversight, and QCAssist with project invoicing, forecasting, and other project management tasksAttend internal and external meetings as requiredReview contractor submittalsIdentify and communicate project staffing needsReport project % completeAdhere to all company policies and procedures and company mission, vision and valuesTimely response to client e-mail and phone messagesWork effectively with both internal project teams and external clientsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities

Required Qualifications
Bachelors' Degree in Engineering and at least 3 years of experience in energy efficiency and / or performance contracting, or Master's degree in Engineering and 1 year of related experienceEngineer in Training (EIT) is a plus1 year of experience using energy modeling programs such as eQuest, EnergyPro and / or Energy Plus1 year of experience conducting energy analyses of building systems, including HVAC systems, chillers, boilers, variable speed drive applicationsPrior client and project management experiencePhysical Requirements
