Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Laboratory Assistant (Lab MA) to primarily support their laboratory operations. The selected candidate will also be expected to assist with medical assistance duties as required. Key responsibilities include performing blood draws, administering vaccines, processing specimens, and ordering lab tests.

Key Responsibilities

• Support laboratory operations, including blood draws and specimen processing.
• Administer vaccinations and order lab tests as required.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, staff, and providers.
• Room patients, perform vital signs and measurements, complete growth charts, and obtain medical history recording information in EMR.
• Perform vision and hearing checks recording results in patient charts.
• Maintain clinic examination room supplies, prepare instruments for sterilization, and operate the autoclave.
• Perform EKGs, spirometry, ear irrigation, and administer various injections.
• Conduct Family Planning procedures / services, dispense birth control, and assist with STI testing and HIV counseling.
• Perform SVN, PEEK FLOW, Audiogram, spirometry, Nebulizer procedures, and Snellen tests.
• Demonstrate good use of time and resources while promoting teamwork.
