Aboutthe Role

Reporting to the General Counsel, theChief Compliance Officer (CCO)will leadSprinklr’sglobalcompliance programand serve as a key member of the legal leadership team.The CCO willbe responsible forensuring theCompany meets all legal and regulatory obligations,enhancing andmaintainingascalable compliance program, and enabling innovation while mitigating risk.

This individual willserve as a key advisor to the Board of Directors,General Counsel, CEO,and executive leadership on regulatory strategy, andpartner closely with senior leadership across theCompany toachievebusiness goalsthat follow the letter and spirit of the law,anddrive process improvementsthat supportgrowth and integrity in apublic companysetting.TheCCO will also serve as a key liaison withcustomers,regulators, auditors, and internal stakeholders.The ideal candidate combines deep compliance and regulatoryexpertiseinaglobalpublictechnologycompanysetting, strong leadership skills, and the ability to navigate complex global legal landscapes. This role willleadand work witha multidisciplinary team and scale programs to support continued growth.

Forexperienced candidates with a proventrack recordadvising oncomplex product developmentand regulatory frameworks, data privacy,AI, innovation, and other emerging technologies, the scope of this role can be expanded beyond traditional compliance. Such candidates, in addition to overseeing the Company’s compliance program,mayalso coverbroader responsibilities, including strategic guidance on productcounseling generally, regulatory,privacy and data governance, and AI-related requirements. This enhanced scope offers an opportunity to shape the Company’s approach to innovation and risk managementata global scale.

WhatYou’llDo

  • Serve as the executive leader for all compliance-related functions.

  • Develop andmaintaina comprehensive compliance programappropriate foramultinational SaaS public company,aligned with SEC, SOX,data privacy and protection, anti-briberyand anti-corruption, OFAC and other sanctions laws, marketing,and other publiccompany, customer,partner,and vendorrequirements.

  • Participate inhighstakesnegotiations, both directlyandvia adviceand guidance provided todirectly responsiblelegal professionals.

  • Embedstrategic legal guidanceintoproduct development,the introduction of new products and services, marketing and advertising, vendors, and strategic third-party partnershipsto ensure ethical and compliant innovation.

  • Oversee andmaintaina leanlibraryof policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.

  • Deliverhigh quality training, nurtureand protect an open-reporting culture,andoversee thecompliancehotline.

  • Leadorsupportinvestigations into potential violations or misconduct.

  • Partner withandreport outtoexecutive leadership and the Board to assess compliance risks and implement mitigation strategies.

  • Co-lead and contribute to Sprinklr’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) program.

  • Lead incident and crisis responses, coordinating appropriately with cross-functional colleagues on investigations,breachresponses, communications, and incorporate systemic improvements from lessons learnedacrosscrises.

  • Establish monitoringand reporting systems to proactivelyidentifyand address compliance issues.

  • Build and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability,integrity,collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Build andmaintainthe Company’s enterprise risk program and strategy, coordinating closely with colleaguesacross the business.

  • Serve asprimaryliaison withcustomers,regulators, auditors, and external counsel on compliance matters.

  • Otherresponsibilities and initiatives as needed.

  • For candidates experienced atadvisingoncomplex product development and regulatory frameworks, data privacy, AI, innovation, and other emerging technologies,the scope of this role can be expanded toencompass responsibilities including:

  • Product Counseling Leadership:Adviceon regulatory and compliance considerations in product development, including privacy-by-design principles and ethical AI practices.

  • Data Privacy & Governance: Oversee global privacy programs, including GDPR, CCPA, and emerging data protection laws,cross-border data transfer compliance,ensuring robust governance and risk mitigationtomaintainand deepen trust with some of the world’s largest and most respected brands.

  • AI & Emerging Technologiesand Services: Develop frameworks for responsible AI use, compliance with evolving AI regulations, and risk assessments fornew technologies.

  • Regulatory Strategy for Innovation: Shape company-wide approaches to regulatory engagement for new products and services, balancing innovation with compliance.

  • Cross-FunctionalAdvising: Serve as a strategic partnertoproduct, engineering, and marketing teams on regulatory and ethical considerations.

What Makes You Qualified

  • JD degree and active bar membership in good standing.

  • 10+ years of legal experiencecombined as a corporate attorneyprovidinglegal advice across a broadand varied set of subjects and matters in a software/technology environment with an international company, and/or at a law firm providing such services to clients in that environment.

  • Experience building and managing global legal and compliance teams.

  • Abusinessoutcomefirst approachthat iscreative and collaborative,withan appropriate riskappetite aligned to those objectives. Youchart a path forward.

  • You have excellent organizational skills and are a strong written and verbal communicator, with great attention to detail, common sense, and a sense of humor.

  • You are comfortable in a fast-paced and demanding environment, and able tomaintainequanimity and perspective under pressure.

  • You roll your sleeves up andareprepared to contribute wherever you can.

  • You understand that being a great colleague and a decent, trustworthy human being are integral to your individual and team success, and absolute requirements for members of the Sprinklr Legal Team.

  • You learn quickly, work independently in a constantly changing and sometimes ambiguous and complex environment, manage a significant workload, and make sound decisions.

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to executive leadership, the Board, and external stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated success in driving operational improvements, automation, and scalable compliance programs.

  • For expanded scope:8+ years ofworkcombinedadvising on product counseling and regulatory issues,such asdata privacyand securitymatters,emerging technologies,AI-related issues,and governance.

JOB REQ COMPENSATION RANGE

$236,000 - $394,000

The base salary range for this role is shown above. At Sprinklr, base pay depends on multiple individualized factors, including experience, qualifications, job-related knowledge and skills, and geographic location. Base pay is only one part of our competitive Total Rewards package: the successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Sprinklr’s discretionary bonus plan, commission plan, and/or equity plan, depending on role.

US-based Sprinklr employees are eligible for a highly competitive benefits package as well, which demonstrates our commitment to our employees’ health, well-being, and financial protection. The US-based benefits include a 401k plan with 100% vested company contributions, flexible paid time off, holidays, generous caregiver and parental leaves, life and disability insurance, and health benefits including medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage.
