Job description

We are seeking a Medical Oncologist for a 6-day locum tenens assignment in Ohio, starting on Feb 10, 2026. This role involves day shifts from 8am to 5pm, primarily covering Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The Medical Oncologist will manage and treat patients requiring chemotherapy for cancer and blood disorders, aligning treatment with NCCN guidelines.

    Responsibilities and Duties

  • Evaluate new patients needing chemotherapy and those with blood disorders.
  • Formulate treatment plans according to NCCN guidelines.
  • Enter and manage orders in the system, including reauthorizations.
  • Ensure all treatments are administered safely and effectively.

  • Required Board Certifications : Medical Oncology
  • Must be licensed in Ohio
  • Experience : Minimum of 1 year in a medical oncology department, specifically rounding on cancer patients
  • EMR System : Epic
  • Other Required Certifications : Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
