The Executive Assistant to eBay's Chief Executive Officer will provide and manage strategic support in a fast-paced, evolving company. This role is pivotal in enabling efficiency and alignment across the eBay leadership team, with a strong focus on prioritization and impact. The ideal candidate anticipates needs, thinks critically, and offers proactive solutions leveraging modern tools and AI-driven insights to enhance productivity, organization, and communication all while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the CEO's internal and external calendars using judgment, prioritization, and decision-making skills applying technology and AI tools to streamline scheduling and communication.
  • Prepare and manage confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  • Plan and manage events such as off-sites, site visits, and executive team gatherings, incorporating digital tools to improve coordination and engagement.
  • Partner with Executive Admin colleagues on special projects, company-wide events, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Coordinate all travel arrangements and accommodations for the CEO, including complex domestic and international itineraries.
  • Create and submit expense reports efficiently, leveraging automation and AI tools for accuracy and timeliness. Support the CEO in meetings by managing materials, tracking outcomes, and following up on key action items.
  • Partner closely with the Chief of Staff to maintain the efficiency and effectiveness of the Office of the CEO.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external partners on all matters pertaining to the CEO, including those of a highly confidential or strategic nature.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to plan and deliver key messages, exploring new ways AI can enhance clarity and storytelling.

Job Requirements

  • 12+ years of executive assistant experience, including at least 5 years supporting at the C-suite level.
  • Exceptional communication and project management skills, including the ability to communicate effectively at an executive level.
  • Strong prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and ownership in driving tasks to completion.
  • Technical proficiency in MS Office (Outlook) and Google Workspace (slides, docs, and sheets) and openness to learning and using new AI-driven productivity tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, and Glean).
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with tact and discretion.
  • Highly organized, with exceptional follow-through and an ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below :

    $180,000 - $230,000

    Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

    If hired, employees will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department / team performance, and market factors.
