Job descriptionHigh school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred. Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar clinical role is highly desirable. Familiarity with medical terminology, particularly within dermatology. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction and teamwork. Ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism and maintain patient confidentiality. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in the use of electronic health records (EHR) and basic office software. QualDerm Partners is seeking a dedicated Dermatology Medical Assistant to join our team, committed to providing exceptional skin and aesthetics wellness services. As a part of our mission to deliver comprehensive care in dermatology, skin cancer treatment, cosmetics, and plastic surgery, your role will directly impact our patients' health and wellness journeys.
In this critical position, you will work alongside our experienced healthcare professionals, assisting with various clinical and administrative tasks to ensure a smooth and efficient practice. Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, including obtaining vital signs and documenting medical histories.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures by preparing necessary instruments and equipment.
- Conduct basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records within our electronic health record systems.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
- Educate patients on treatment options, medications, and effective skincare routines.
- Keep examination rooms clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies.
