Residential Advocate Responsibilities :
Monitors self-administration of medications and reconciles medication.Completes admission documents, living skills assessment treatment plans / updates, monthly progress notes, activity notes, discharge documents, environmental / infection controlrounds, and monthly fire drills.
Teaches / educates residents on basic living skills, kitchen / fire safety, preparation for weather emergencies.Assists / attends to physical maintenance / cleanliness of facility, monitors supplies.Completes maintenance requests, fire extinguisher checks, weekly bedroom / bath or apartment inspections.Facilitates community meetings, social activities / groups.Supports supervisor.Informs supervisor of unusual situations / behaviors, completes incident reporting, communication log entries / shift report notes.Transports residents as needed.Communicates with treatment team.Complies with AHCA regulations / mandates.Reports change in condition to appropriate staff for intervention or hospitalization.Responds to emergencies according to program procedures.Provides direct monitoring / visual contact for residents deemed a risk to self / others.At group homes, monitors food inventory, prepares / serves meals per menu, proper food handling, documents substitutions.Conducts chart reviews for compliance.Requirements :
Basic cooking skills.Required Experience : 6 months caretaking OR customer service OR behavioral health OR enrolled in college seeking a psychology, social work, related field degree.FL Driver's License (Coverage requires drivers to be 21 years old with 2 years drivingexperience (drivers over 69 may require a Driver's Road test.)
