Director of SBA Lending

Purpose :

• The Director of SBA Lending is responsible for managing SBA lenders, originating, screening against credit risk appetite requirements, and managing loans for small businesses.
• The Director of SBA Lending builds relationships with prospective borrowers, understands their financial needs, and guides them through the loan application process, specifically focusing on SBA loan programs.
• The role also includes working closely with retail partners on SBA and small business opportunities.
• The role requires extensive experience and in-depth understanding of the SBA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and compliance guidelines and requires a lending and credit background including loan portfolio management, commercial lending, SBA secondary market loan sales and SBA loan servicing.

Salary commensurate with experience $185K-$200K Essential Job Functions :

Actively market SBA loan products and services to potential customers.

Assess risk and ensure compliance with SBA lending requirements.

Travel to business owner properties / locations for meetings and perform walk through inspections of their businesses and commercial buildings.

Provide support and guidance during the life of the loan to ensure repayment and client satisfaction.

Collaborate with external partners, such as local business development organizations.

Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with company policies.
