Duties and Responsibilities: • Conduct maintenance according to skill level and pursuant to safety policies and procedures
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make-adjustments
• Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those unusual situations to the facility maintenance manager.
• Utilizing Microsoft Office, order and schedule parts as well as jobs.
• Perform work in a safe manner and use Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) always.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Due to the environment, the following are required: hearing protection, slip resistant shoes and eye protection. Work area is an oily environment.
Requirements Qualification Requirements: • Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Able to set up and operate a variety of machine tools.
• Able to fit and assemble parts to fabricate or repair tools and maintain industrial machines.
• Applies knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, material properties, layout, and machining procedures required.
• Observes and listens to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions and determine needs for adjustments or repair.
• Dismantles machine or equipment using hand tools or power tools to examine parts for defects or to remove defective parts.
• Assembles and tests operating machines to verify correction of malfunction.
• May maintain and lubricate machine tools and equipment.
• May repair or replace faulty wiring, switches or relays.
• Motivated, detail oriented and the ability to perform as a team player
• Good reading and math skills
• Strong analytical skills, mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
• High school education or GED
• Able to read, write, and speak English
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Self starter who can work with minimal supervision
• Able to communicate and take direction from the Sanitation Manager and communicate effectively with line workers, Leads, Supervisors and Plant Manager.
• Attention to detail.
• Legible record-keeping and data entry skills.
• Must be highly motivated, flexible and have creative problem-solving abilities.
• Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Welding and fabrication, full understanding of 3 Phase electrical, tree phase motor controls. Troubleshoot AC & DC drive
• Minimum of 6 months work longevity
