Prime Time Healthcare Therapy is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a travel job in Leavenworth, Washington.

Job Description & Requirements

Includes estimated wage of $34 - $40hr & non-taxable travel benefits if eligible

Shifts : 36 hours guaranteed; Tue-Sat, work four 9-hr shifts + one 4-hr shift on Sat

Certs : AHA BLS

Skills : Inpatient & Outpatient experience; hand therapy and splinting capabilities needed . Primarily needed for Adults, but some may need to see some Peds

Essential Functions :

Provides inpatient (Acute and Sub-Acute or "Swing Bed") evaluations, develops an appropriate Plan of Care (POC) and provides Occupational Therapy Treatment according to the POC.

Provides outpatient evaluations, develops an appropriate Plan of Care and provides Occupational Therapy treatment according to the POC.

Follows procedures for accurate and timely documentation and billing.

Provides specialized hand therapy services in the outpatient setting.

Provides basic (or advanced) custom splints for finger, hand and write injuries / rehabilitation.

Consults with and supervises the Activities Program Coordinator.

Plans program involving activities such as manual arts and crafts.

Provides practice in functional, prevocational, vocational, and homemaking skills, and activities of daily living.

Coordinates participation in sensory motor, educational, recreational and social activities designed to help patients or disabled persons develop or regain physical or mental functioning or adjust to disabilities.

Consults with other members of the rehabilitation team to select activity programs consistent with needs and capabilities of individuals and to coordinate occupational therapy with other therapeutic activities.

Selects constructive activities suited to individual's physical capacity, intelligence level, and interest to upgrade individual to maximum independence, prepare individual for return to employment, assist in restoration of functions, and aid in adjustment to disability.

Teaches individuals skills and techniques required for participation in activities and evaluates individual's progress.

Designs and constructs special equipment for individual and suggests adaptation of individual's work living environment.

Requisitions supplies and equipment.

Lays out materials for individual's use and cleans and repairs tools at end of sessions.

Conducts training programs or participates in training medical and nursing staff and other workers in occupational therapy techniques and objectives.

Participates in Public Education and Relations to promote rehabilitation services

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university

One to two years both inpatient and outpatient experience

Current Occupation Therapist Licensed in Washington State

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Ability to solve practical problems where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
