Overview

Postdoctoral Scholar, Multiple Openings, College of Nursing – Institute on Digital Health and Innovation (IDHI). Location : Tallahassee, FL. Regular / Temporary : Temporary. Full-Time.

Responsibilities

Scholars will engage in mentored research and professional development activities with support from the IDHI Director and Co-Director, and other IDHI faculty. They will be helped to build a mentorship network and develop an individual development plan with training goals and activities. Scholars will participate in networking with professionals and faculty across disciplines at top research universities and institutions in the U.S. and globally. IDHI leadership and partners have experience in supporting early career development, including :

• research grant proposal development
• manuscript development and publication
• qualitative and quantitative research methods
• behavioral intervention development, implementation, and evaluation
• career planning and advancement

Scholars will have protected time and mentorship to develop independent research ideas and portfolios, including activities such as publishing dissertation manuscripts, applying for NIH training or career development awards, attending professional meetings and conferences, guest lecturing, and engaging in professional service. The balance of collaborative and independent research will be tailored to the scholar's goals.

Established in 2022, IDHI within the Florida State University College of Nursing promotes health equity through digital health tools and collaborations. The mission is to advance digital health science and tools to solve real-world needs, maximizing health and eliminating inequities. IDHI is accepting applications for a postdoctoral fellowship to prepare scholars for independent research-focused careers in academia, government, civil society, or non-profit sectors. Scholars will build their own research portfolio and collaborate with IDHI faculty and partner institutions. IDHI faculty lead federally funded networks and studies, including the NIH-funded Adolescent Medicine Trials Network and HealthMpowerment digital health initiative. Anticipated Salary Range

Salary range of $65,000 to $70,000, commensurate with experience, plus a discretionary fund to support professional development and research activities.

Considerations

This is an OPS / temporary position. Initial appointment is for one year with possible renewal for an additional year. A criminal history background check may be required based on duties. Full-time schedule is Monday–Friday, 8 : 00 a.m.–5 : 00 p.m., with occasional evening and weekend hours. In-person presence in Tallahassee is preferred; remote work may be considered in exceptional circumstances. This position is being readvertised as open until filled.
