Strategic Sourcing Leader

Our client, a recognized leader in custom packaging solutions and distribution, is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Leader to drive sourcing across corrugated, linerboard, folding carton, stretch film, poly bags, pouches, and industrial film products. This is a high-impact role that blends strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and team leadership - critical to winning business and supporting growth.

What You'll Do:

• Lead and mentor a team of 3–4 sourcing specialists, embedding sourcing early in sales and design initiatives.
• Negotiate supplier contracts, pricing, rebates, and long-term agreements to secure competitive advantage.
• Drive vendor consolidation and strategic sourcing to reduce costs, improve reliability, and enhance profitability.
• Manage fiber product portfolios and pricing strategies aligned with market conditions.
• Provide actionable market insights from fiber/resin indices (RISI, Bloomberg) and supplier performance data.
• Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Design, Operations, and Finance to align sourcing with business goals.

What We're Looking For:

• 7+ years in sourcing/procurement within packaging or manufacturing
  (distribution experience preferred)

• Deep knowledge of fiber-based packaging markets

• Proven track record in contracts, rebates, and supplier consolidation

• Analytical, business-savvy, and a collaborative, results-driven leader
