Child Psychiatrist Locums Job Working with Youth in the Juvenile Justice System Southern California

Details / Requirements :

WORK SCHEDULE : 8am to 4 : 30pm (8 hours a day, 5 days a week) or 8am to 6 : 30pm (10 hours a day, 4 days a week)

SCHEDULE TYPE : Regular 5 / 40 (8 hours per day) or 4 / 40 schedule (10 hours per day)

Need starts ASAP for up to twelve months for a child psychiatrist to provide locum tenens services for 40 hours a week evaluating and treating youth with severe mental illnesses and co-occurring disorders, providing one-on-one psychiatric assessments, medication management, therapeutic support, and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT).

Psychiatrists conduct in-depth individual appointments, often lasting up to 150 minutes for initial evaluations and 60-90 minutes for follow-ups.

Client has an electronic health record, so candidates must be computer savvy.

The treatment team communicates regularly through bi-weekly psychiatrists' meetings, weekly onsite team sessions, and daily coordination via Microsoft Teams and Outlook.

Two worksite locations for this job, one in Sylmar and the other in Malibu!
