Locum Tenens Urology Surgeon Needed : Provide Inpatient Call Coverage in Sunny South Florida (j-232158) Are you a board-certified urologic surgeon seeking a dynamic locum tenens opportunity to provide essential call coverage in a thriving community near Hollywood, Florida? What this Opportunity Offers : Seasonal Scheduling Flexibility : Help us bridge a scheduling gap by providing call coverage between July 1st and October 1st, 2024. This temporary role allows you to maintain a flexible schedule and enjoy the vibrant summer months in South Florida. Major holidays are observed, including New Year's Day, Independence Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Seamless Technology : Leverage your familiarity with Cerner, the EMR system used at the facility. Supportive Environment : Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals dedicated to patient care. Opportunity to Make a Difference : Provide timely and effective care to patients experiencing urologic emergencies during off-hours. Key Responsibilities : Be available by phone to address patient needs that arise after regular clinic hours. Evaluate the need for in-person evaluation or surgical intervention for admitted urology patients. Provide timely and appropriate telephone consultations or arrange for patients to be seen in the hospital if necessary. Work collaboratively with the on-site healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care. Manage patient admissions as needed (temporary privileges available). Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the Cerner EMR system (credentialing permitting). Qualifications for Success : Board eligibility or certification in Urology is mandatory. Fellowship training is preferred. Valid medical license in Florida to practice medicine without restrictions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and colleagues. The ability to make sound clinical decisions under time pressure is essential.
