POSITION SUMMARY : Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Central Ordering Coordinator provides support to the operating divisions by designing inventory controls including par levels, organization of storage areas and ongoing training of key employees on the use of online ordering systems. Takes a hands-on approach by partnering with store managers to develop best practices and establishing ongoing positive business relationships to ensure compliance with standards of ordering and inventory.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Assist managers with development of par levels and implements organization plan for storage areas to ensure efficient use of products and minimizing waste.
- Performs work at various store locations as assigned including primary responsibilities at a minimum 6-8 locations.
- Develop plan for transfer of overstocked products and recommends forecasting strategies for standing orders including holidays / specials to minimize waste.
- Understands product use and preparation in accordance with R & D guidelines and monitors handling of food products to ensure quality controls.
- Acts as liaison between vendors and stores and communicates changes in a timely manner. Trains key managers on use of the online ordering system and shares best practices for product control.
- Conducts periodic store audits to ensure organization of storage areas.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
Reviews and summarizes store practices and communicates strengths and weaknesses to manager.Develops and assists with implementation of processes for efficiency improvements.Creates end of month comparative reports and makes recommendations for change where appropriate. Develops departmental communications; maintains and updates files and databases; contributes to and supports departmental initiatives.Requirements : QUALIFICATIONS :

Education :High School Diploma or G. E.
