Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead nursing operations at a long-term care facility in Britton, South Dakota. This travel contract offers competitive weekly pay and the opportunity to oversee clinical excellence in a supportive community setting.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and oversight for nursing staff in a long-term care (LTC) / skilled nursing facility (SNF) environment.

Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, facility policies, and quality standards.

Develop and implement care plans to promote resident health and safety.

Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff performance.

Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and administrators to achieve positive outcomes.

Manage staffing schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives in patient care and facility operations.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Director of Nursing .

Proven background in LTC / SNF settings .

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Current RN license in South Dakota or compact state.
