Job description

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Virginia (UVA) Children's Hospital is seeking an accomplished and dynamic Division Director for Pediatric Infectious Diseases . This is an opportunity for a visionary leader to advance clinical care, research, and education in an established and highly regarded division.

This full-time faculty position is available at the Associate or Full Professor level on the tenure or non-tenure track , depending on the candidates qualifications and career goals. Individuals with established laboratory or clinical research programs are particularly encouraged to apply.

Position Highlights

  • Lead and grow a thriving division with a strong foundation in clinical care, research, and education .
  • Provide expert infectious disease care for a diverse pediatric population, including immunocompromised and transplant patients.
  • Engage in and expand clinical or laboratory-based research , with robust institutional support.
  • Mentor and educate medical students, residents, and fellows in pediatric infectious diseases.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and drive innovation in the field.

  • M.D. or D.O. degree required.
  • Board certification in Pediatric Infectious Diseases is required.
