Our client is a Kansas City-based General Contractor with multiple multi-family and commercial projects in the Kansas City Area. Established a great reputation primarily focusing on multifamily and commercial projects, and they have a strong back log of projects in to 2026 and a great company culture that values employees. They are looking to add a Building and Construction Junior Estimator to their team.

Job Description

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to assess project requirements. Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to ensure accurate estimations. Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitive pricing. Track and manage project budgets to ensure cost efficiency. Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on project estimates and progress. Maintain accurate records of all estimates, revisions, and supporting documentation. Stay current with industry trends, materials, and cost variations.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related fields preferred but not required. 2+ years experience with projects with a budget of $5M+. Candidate required to have an excellent track record as an estimator or pre-construction professional. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software such as Timberline and Bluebeam. Team player to work with various individuals from project start to finish.
