Clinical Directors at Ensemble Therapy hold a unique dual role : part clinician, part leader, all rooted in relationship. You’ll balance your caseload (15–20 clients per week) with flexible leadership hours devoted to supervision, team growth, and shaping systems that help clinicians thrive.
We see leadership as a practice of mentorship, equity, and integrity — not just administration. As a Clinical Director, you’ll walk alongside clinicians in their growth, hold space during hard moments, and nurture a culture where everyone feels resourced, connected, and empowered.
Core Responsibilities Clinical Supervision & Mentorship
- Provide monthly 1 : 1 check-ins with clinicians to offer support, consultation, and guidance
- Tailor mentorship and feedback based on individual growth edges and learning styles
- Support clinicians navigating burnout, ethical dilemmas, or stuck clinical moments
- Offer emotional containment and reflective space, not just task oversight
- Complete a quarterly reflection-based assessment for each clinician to support individual growth and provide feedback loops to the larger team
- Review and integrate clinician self-reflections each quarter into ongoing support and professional development planning
Clinical Team Development
Plan and facilitate monthly group consultations and internal presentationsCollaborate on onboarding and offboarding processes for cliniciansParticipate in hiring efforts by leading interviews, providing feedback, and helping identify team-aligned candidatesIdentify training needs and contribute to a culture of ongoing learningHelp shape the structure of clinical support and development systemsSystems & Tools Integration
Support clinicians in navigating EHR systems, assessments, and documentation expectationsHelp create or maintain workflows and clinical tools that reduce friction and increase clarityGather and reflect feedback from clinicians to improve systems, resources, or policiesRelational & Inclusive Leadership
Model relational repair, emotional presence, and clear communicationFoster a psychologically safe, connected, and equitable team cultureIntegrate DEI principles into supervision, leadership decisions, and team careCollaborate with the broader leadership team to support alignment and integrity across the practiceOngoing Feedback & Organizational Insight
Attend the monthly leadership meeting to share updates, align on priorities, and stay connected across departmentsParticipate in collaborative leadership feedback loops by sharing themes from clinician 1 : 1s (e.g., clinical trends, DEI needs, resource requests, process updates)Contribute insight from quarterly clinician reviews to help inform system improvements, training opportunities, and culture buildingEngage in additional leadership planning meetings as needed to support cross-team initiatives, address emerging needs, or accomplish shared goalsMinimum Qualifications
Active Texas supervisor license in counseling, social work, psychology, or marriage and family therapy (LCSW-S, LPC-S, LMFT-S)Minimum of 3 years post-licensure clinical experience, with a strong foundation in child, adolescent, and / or family therapyPrior experience providing clinical supervision, mentorship, or consultation to other therapists (formal or informal)Demonstrated commitment to trauma-informed care, cultural humility, and inclusive practiceExcellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to provide supportive feedback, hold compassionate boundaries, and foster team connectionStrong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage both clinical and administrative responsibilitiesAlignment with Ensemble Therapy’s values of presence, connection, collaboration, and sustainable growthPreferred but Not Required
Prior experience in a formal leadership role (e.g., Clinical Supervisor, Program Director, or Team Lead)Familiarity with EHR systems and workflow development to support clinical efficiencyExperience facilitating team meetings, workshops, or internal trainingsComfort navigating change management or supporting clinicians through transitionsInterest in contributing to DEI initiatives, onboarding processes, or team development projectsPowered by JazzHR
