Cardiologist – Family Practice, Merced, CA
Community Health Centers of America is hiring for a Cardiologist to work in our family practice clinics in the Merced , CA area. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients for acute, episodic or chronic illness, independently or as part of a healthcare team, in the clinic setting.

Job Description
- Obtains, analyzes, and interprets patients' histories, symptoms, physical findings, or diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses.
- Diagnoses or treats acute health care problems such as illnesses, infections, or injuries.
- Recommends diagnostic or therapeutic interventions.
- Prescribes medications.
- Educates patients about self‑management of acute or chronic illnesses.
- Orders, performs, or interprets the results of diagnostic tests.
- Maintains complete and detailed records of patients' health care plans and prognoses.
- Detects and responds to adverse drug reactions.
- Performs follow‑up visits to monitor patients or evaluate health or illness care.
- Performs cardiological physical examinations.
- Supervises or coordinates patient care or support staff activities.
- Maintains current knowledge of state legal regulations for nurse practitioner practice.
- Keeps abreast of regulatory processes and payer systems.
- Obtains health information from patient.
- Performs physical examinations and assesses any medical problems.
- Practices safe and healthy control methods while working with patients.
- Educates patients and families concerning medical treatments, medications, etc.
- Administers or orders for diagnostic tests such as x‑ray, electrocardiograms and lab tests.
- Interprets test results to diagnose any related health issues.
- Counsel patients about compliance with medication.
- Assists in pre‑operation or post‑operation care.
- Coordinates activities of patient care.
- Document patient progress with medication or treatment.
- Collaborates with other physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, including healthcare professional staff to form a high performing medical team. Ensure compliance and attention to all corporate policies and procedures.
- Follow facility and OSHA safety rules and procedures while on assignment.
- Follow facility and GHR Unusual Occurrence Protocol.
- Respect cultural and religious practices of minor patients.
- Uphold HIPAA regulations.
- Punctual and dependable for assigned / confirmed shifts.

Must possess a degree in medicine and a valid license from the California Medical Board.Experience : 3-5 years of related experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Appropriate certifications and / or licensures.Skills
