The Embarc Conversion / General Maintenance Tech is both behind the scenes in that it requires basic carpentry, plumbing, and HVAC skills as well as front facing in terms of a member and guest services capacity. The technician should be able to maintain physical activity including standing, walking, stooping, reaching, climbing stairs and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist plumbers, electricians, and HVAC technicians as needed
- Assist Conversion and Cleaning Crew
- Carpentry and drywall finishing repairs
- Preventative Maintenance on HVAC equipment such as filters and belt changes
- Receive and distribute USPS mail, FedEx, and UPS shipments within the building in a timely manner
- Ensure mailroom and loading area is well maintained, clean and clear
- Responsible for all Embarc Collective inbound and outbound US Mail and Shipment distribution
- Respond courteously to staff, member, and guest inquiries by phone or email
- At times, be responsible for set up and tear down of various events hosted at Embarc, which involves staging, tables, chairs, etc.
- Work cooperatively with all staff members
- Maintain a clean and neat appearance during work hours
- Assure the health, safety and security of co-workers and guests by following all safety procedures and rules and OSHA standards
- Monitor and report to the manager any discrepancies, damage, loss of property, safety concerns
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
