Job description

Hiring Certified Surgical Tech - Operating Room

Profession : Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

Specialty : Operating Room (OR)

Location : Glens Falls, NY

Start Date : Nov 17, 2025

Duration : 13 weeks

EMR : Cerner

Operating Rooms : 16, including Labor & Delivery coverage for C-sections

Patient Population : Pediatric–Adult

Average Procedures / Day : 50

Shift Type : Afternoons

Shift Times : 12 : 30 PM – 11 : 00 PM

Hours / Day : 10

Schedule : 4x10-hour shifts / week

Days Off : Tuesdays

Weekly Pay Package :

  • Tax-Free Stipend : $1,316.00
  • Straight Pay (Taxable) : $1,280.00
  • Gross Weekly Total : $2,596.00

Project Duration : 40 weeks

Core Responsibilities :

  • Assist in surgical procedures across Neuro, Ortho, ENT, Thoracic, Vascular, General, and Gynecology
  • Maintain sterile field and support intraoperative safety
  • Prepare instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures
  • Collaborate with surgical team to ensure efficient case flow
  • Support C-section coverage in Labor & Delivery
  • Document and manage surgical case setup and breakdown

    • Requirements :

  • 2+ years of current OR experience – required
  • Proficient in Ortho (total joints), Urology, Vascular, and General Surgery – required
  • Prior travel experience – highly preferred
  • NBSTSA certification – required
  • BLS (AHA) – required
