Upcoming orientation dates are 11 / 17 / 2025, 12 / 1 / 2025, and 12 / 15 / 2025. Valid RN license is required. ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications are required. AWHONN Advanced or AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring must be obtained within 2 years. Minimum 2 years of RN Labor and Delivery experience is required. Floating is required based on census. Coverage is required every other weekend. Experience with EPIC is preferred. Patient ratio is 1 : 2. No local candidates will be accepted. Previous charge experience is preferred. Experience with charting systems is required. Candidates must have charting experience with EPIC. Experience in a community hospital is preferred. Travel experience is preferred. Candidates must have skills in the administration of blood and blood products, amnioinfusion, antepartum care, anticoagulants, antihypertensives, and antiseizure medication. Duties include assisting with high-risk delivery, aiding with sterile speculum exams, and vaginal deliveries. Candidates must provide breastfeeding support, car seat education, and perform cervical cerclage procedures. Experience in cesarean sections, circulating for C-sections, and managing cord care is necessary. Candidates should be knowledgeable in postpartum hemorrhage management, magnesium sulfate therapy, and the recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns. Skills in starting and maintaining IVs and using infusion pumps are necessary. Patient age groups include infants and adults. Daily census averages 14 patients. The unit has 16 rooms and 16 beds. Interdisciplinary support includes various services such as respiratory services and social services. Common patient diagnoses include labor, antepartum complications, and postpartum complications. Special procedures include cesarean sections and D&C. The unit is equipped with essential technology and services for optimal patient care. Candidates may be required to provide one supervisory reference. Travelers with only one DUI incident on record may be considered if it occurred more than one year ago. Blocked scheduling will not be accommodated. Candidates who have work history including any previous locations will need to be sent for rehire status approval.
