What You’ve Accomplished

You have completed a High School Diploma. Journeyman Instrument Technician must have the knowledge, skills and capabilities required to maintain :

• Standard, special and state of the art laboratory analysis equipment.
• Pneumatic and electronic process control instrumentation.
• Computerized equipment control systems.
• Laser measuring.
• Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machinery.
• Standard and computerized data collection and system monitoring equipment.
• Environmental control systems.

Incumbent must have knowledge of methods and test equipment required for measuring pressure, temperature, flow and level, and must apply such testing standards in performing scheduled instrument and system calibration procedures.

Must be able to follow and carry out written and oral instructions and perform basic mathematical calculations. Mechanical aptitude and basic equipment operation experience is desirable. Must be physically able to lift 50 pounds, bend, stoop, and remain in a standing position for extended periods. Good eyesight, manual dexterity and good physical condition are required. Must be able to work a variety of shifts including rotating shift assignment. Ability to function well as a member of the work team.

Your Total Rewards Package

The starting rate for this position is $49.85 per hour. After a successfully completed introductory period the pay increases to $52.47 per hour, and may also include annual incentives and benefits.
