Registered Nurse - Telemetry Job Details Location : Peoria, IL 61637 (Illinois healthcare jobs) Facility Setting : Acute Care - Cardio Thoracic Telemetry Unit Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN) Start Date : November 10, 2025 End Date : March 16, 2026 Contract Duration : 18 weeks Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM) Hours : 36 hours per week guaranteed Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Charting System : EPIC Estimated Weekly Salary : $1990-$2130 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Illinois RN license (or proof of application in process) BLS certification (AHA required) Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience in telemetry, cardiac, or cardio thoracic nursing Proficient in EKG interpretation and cardiac medication titration Experience with Cardizem and heparin drips preferred Ability to float to other general medical units as needed Must pass a comprehensive drug screen (OSF is a drug-free campus) Registered Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with cardiac and thoracic diagnoses, including MI, CHF, A-fib, COPD, and post-surgical cases Interpret EKGs and titrate cardiac drips as required Monitor and document patient status, responding promptly to changes in condition Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including charge nurses, patient care techs, and monitor techs Utilize and troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment (CPAP, BiPAP, high flow oxygen) as appropriate Maintain accurate patient records using the EPIC charting system Float to other medical units as needed to support patient care Ready to take the next step in your travel nursing career?
