Kurt Workholding has set the standard for quality and reliability with machine vises and workholding technology for over 60 years. We manufacture and sell a complete line of workholding products for the machining industry. Our innovative angle lock design vises have built our reputation and allowed us to expand into a variety of other manufacturing sectors including 5-axis vises, workholding towers, automation and quality control. Kurt Workholding also provides manufacturers custom engineered solutions to help them maximize efficiency and quality.

Kurt's Sales Engineer role combines both technical and sales skills to sell Kurt's workholding line of products that include standard product lines and customer engineered workholding solutions.

Compensation

The anticipated annual salary is between $79,000 and 105,500 plus commission. The exact salary may be determined on a combination of factors including the candidate's knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education.

Essential Functions

• Conducts sales calls to direct end-users and industrial distributors that sell and support workholding product lines and services.
• Reviews customer requirements and helps determine product solutions.
• Supports or develops product cost estimates that are then presented to customers.
• Provides technical services and training to customers as required / requested relating to use, operation and maintenance.
• Supports and helps management evaluate other sales channels such as company sales representatives or sales opportunities.
• May generate sales or service contracts for products or services.
• Helps guide new product development and marketing efforts based on feedback from customers, distributors or marketplace information.
• Assists with annual sales projections / planning.
• Travels up to 30% of the time to follow-up on potential sales opportunities including direct customers, distributor locations, tradeshows or other activities.
