Job Description

Job Title : RN - Nurse Manager / Lead

Job Specialty : RN Supervisor - Psych

Job Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Days - 8 hours, with weekends and holidays as assigned

Guaranteed Hours : Not specified

Experience : Minimum of 12 months of prior experience, including manager or lead experience

License : Registered Nurse (RN)

Certifications : BLS and CPI

Must-Have :

  • Must be interested in a temp-to-hire position if the contract is a good fit.
  • Must not be a travel-only nurse.
  • Ability to conduct CIWA / COWS assessments, perform UAs, and set / hold firm empathic boundaries.
  • Experience in a psych setting preferred.

Job Description :

  • Oversee and manage the nursing team within an inpatient substance abuse treatment facility for individuals aged 18 and older.
  • Work within a 50-bed facility, consisting of 20 female and 30 male patients.
  • Manage a nurse / patient ratio that includes one nurse on the night shift, with 2-3 Behavior Health Assistants from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., and one tech on shift from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
  • Utilize HCS electronic medical records for patient documentation.
  • Adhere to the dress code requiring wearing scrubs.
  • Manage voluntary patients without the use of restraints, with administrative and doctor support on call at all times.
  • Work Monday to Friday during standard business hours, with the expectation of working two floor shifts per month.
  • Participate in a 2-3 day orientation consisting of 12-hour shifts until comfortable.
  • Facilitate visiting hours on Sundays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
