Reporting to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, the Business Development Manager is a key contributor to our success and works collaboratively with the sales team to secure profitable new business.
The right candidate will identify, develop and close business opportunities while managing account and customer relationships.
Duties :
- Interface with the company to ensure customer satisfaction and company goals are met
- Generate leads and manage sales pipeline - prospecting new and existing accounts, follow up on leads, identify / develop new opportunities and generate quotes and proposals
- Positions our brand and capabilities as the preferred source of air data products
- Serves as main contact point for all new new business-related customer communication
- Communication of information and report data to forecast / budget, including timing, price and margin expectations
- Negotiate new business customer contracts, terms and conditions
- Attends industry events, trade shows and sales meetings as required
- Travel requirements, both international and domestic will be approximately 50%
Skill Set Required :
International and direct outside sales experience representing a manufacturer of complex technical productsDirect, outside sales experience in the aviation / aerospace industryGood business sense / judgment, data driven, and task / results orientedCritical thinking and problem solvingStrong communication skills (verbal and written) with extensive working knowledge of MS office softwareEffective open and honest communicator with solid interpersonal skillsHigh sense of ownership for their performance and for their team's performanceBroad business knowledge preferred : technical sales, engineering, finance, and operationsQualifiications :
4-year college degree (engineering or business degree preferred)Two years minimum related experienceMust be able to work with ITAR products and related data without restriction
