American Traveler is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist with ARDMS certification and trauma level hospital experience preferred.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a tertiary care, Magnet-recognized, Level 1 trauma teaching hospitalPerform general ultrasound exams in adult, ER, ICU, and NICU settingsServe a patient population that includes neonates, adults, and geriatricsUtilize equipment from GE and Siemens and work with Epic EMRNight shift schedule : Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, 6 : 00 PM to 6 : 30 AMBlocked schedule with weekend and holiday shifts required if falling on scheduled daysComplete a maximum of 7 days of requested time offNot open to local candidates; must reside more than 75 miles from the facilityNo travel partners accepted for this assignmentTen to fifteen hours of compliance modules must be completed prior to start, with modules counting toward orientationCandidate must pass drug screening; failure to pass will result in a six-month waiting period before reapplyingTeamwork within a multidisciplinary setting in a fast-paced, high-acuity hospital environmentScrubs / dress code per facility policyFirst-time travelers are accepted for this role\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum 2 years of recent specialty ultrasound experience required, including at least 1 year within the past 12 months with no employment gap greater than 90 daysCurrent ARDMS, ARDMS AB, BLS required; ARDMS RVT and ARRT R preferredExperience in ED, ICU, vascular, abdomen, 1st trimester OB, and portable ultrasound is requiredExperience in a trauma level 1 teaching hospital preferredMust be eligible to work with adult, neonatal, and geriatric patientsProficiency with Epic EMR and use of GE and Siemens ultrasound equipment preferredBoth Kansas and Missouri state licenses or compact license must be in hand prior to consideration if floating is required; license required if applicableReferences required : One from a supervisor and one from a charge nurse or higher, both from within the past year\n Benefits\n
