Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist with ARDMS certification and trauma level hospital experience preferred.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a tertiary care, Magnet-recognized, Level 1 trauma teaching hospital
  • Perform general ultrasound exams in adult, ER, ICU, and NICU settings
  • Serve a patient population that includes neonates, adults, and geriatrics
  • Utilize equipment from GE and Siemens and work with Epic EMR
  • Night shift schedule : Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, 6 : 00 PM to 6 : 30 AM
  • Blocked schedule with weekend and holiday shifts required if falling on scheduled days
  • Complete a maximum of 7 days of requested time off
  • Not open to local candidates; must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
  • No travel partners accepted for this assignment
  • Ten to fifteen hours of compliance modules must be completed prior to start, with modules counting toward orientation
  • Candidate must pass drug screening; failure to pass will result in a six-month waiting period before reapplying
  • Teamwork within a multidisciplinary setting in a fast-paced, high-acuity hospital environment
  • Scrubs / dress code per facility policy
  • First-time travelers are accepted for this role

    • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Minimum 2 years of recent specialty ultrasound experience required, including at least 1 year within the past 12 months with no employment gap greater than 90 days
  • Current ARDMS, ARDMS AB, BLS required; ARDMS RVT and ARRT R preferred
  • Experience in ED, ICU, vascular, abdomen, 1st trimester OB, and portable ultrasound is required
  • Experience in a trauma level 1 teaching hospital preferred
  • Must be eligible to work with adult, neonatal, and geriatric patients
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR and use of GE and Siemens ultrasound equipment preferred
  • Both Kansas and Missouri state licenses or compact license must be in hand prior to consideration if floating is required; license required if applicable
  • References required : One from a supervisor and one from a charge nurse or higher, both from within the past year
