Lab Technician I 2050 per hour 3rd Shift

Job Description

($19.50 - $20.50 per hour)

Analytical testing of various vegetable oils using Stratas SOPs. Testing of samples at various points in the process, production samples, inbound and outbound truck and railcar samples.

Responsibilities :

• Communicate to management when test results indicate that corrective action is necessary.
• Prioritize samples as they arrive in laboratory.
• Complete analytical testing and paperwork in a timely manner.
• Finished product and incoming material testing.
• Learn new procedures as necessary.
• Develop a thorough understanding of laboratory processes and procedures.
• Attend all training and safety meetings as scheduled.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Storage of production retains.
• Packaging line quality assurance.
• Assist in other departments as needed and directed by management.

Qualifications : Qualifications

Education : High School diploma or equivalent required

Related Experience : Three (3) years’ previous laboratory experience preferred

Equipment / Software Skills : Basic data entry skills required

Additional Information

Physical : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, and stand. The employee will also be required to use hands, arms and fingers. This position is required to be respirator qualified. Must have be ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally is required.

Sensory : Visual, speaking, and touch is essential.

Mental / Reasoning : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
