JOB SUMMARY :
We are seeking an Acquisitions Analyst or Associate who will be based in Miami and will be responsible for underwriting investment opportunities for the firm. In this role, the Analyst or Associate will engage in the full life cycle of the investment process. This will include underwriting, due diligence, financing, closing, reporting, repositioning, and dispositions. The Analyst or Associate will also contribute to the management of post-close business plans and the ongoing success of investments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to assess prospective multifamily investment opportunities
- Build and maintain a network of contacts across brokers, lenders, preferred equity providers, and other 3rd parties
- Perform deep market dives, both in person and via research
- Maintain comprehensive deal databases, tracking all deals
- Facilitate and assist in managing the due diligence and closing processes for potential acquisitions
- Create and present investment memoranda for potential acquisitions to Investment Committee
- Conduct micro / macro-level market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks
- Interact regularly with onsite teams, regionals, brokers, appraisers, tax consultants, and lenders
- Perform site tours / assessments for existing assets and prospective acquisitions
- Assist in building out new platforms and formulating future strategies
- Assist with asset management, including deal execution, performance tracking, variance analysis, reforecasting, refinancing's, and supporting quarterly investor reporting and ongoing investor requests
REQUIREMENTS :
1-3 years' experience working in real estate acquisitions, investment banking, and / or multifamily investment sales / capital marketsExperience in underwriting and evaluationStrong / advanced financial modeling and quantitative skills with the ability to develop financial models from scratchEffective written and verbal communication skillsAttention to detail, intellectual rigor, and constant curiosityTech-savvy, with an understanding of AI and its proper and potential uses in underwriting and operating multifamily propertiesDesire to socialize with industry professionals and travel regularlyAbility to multi-task in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment with minimal oversight
