CG Life is seeking a VP of M&A, located in Chicago, IL to lead and execute the Company’s M&A initiatives. The individual, reporting to the CEO, will oversee the development and maintenance of a robust pipeline of acquisition targets, conduct financial and operational analysis, negotiate letters of intent, and lead transaction diligence. This role will play a crucial part in the entire M&A process, ensuring seamless execution and integration of new acquisitions while supporting the broader corporate strategy.

As the VP of M&A, you will :

• Support C-Suite and Shore Capital in engagements with potential sellers, contributing to effective offer presentations and letters of intent
• Manage and drive the post-LOI phase, overseeing due diligence and integration, in collaboration with legal counsel, third-party diligence vendors, and internal teams
• Contribute to opportunity sourcing using a strategic, prioritized approach. Utilize quantitative and qualitative scoring criteria to proactively pursue quality assets with a high probability of post-acquisition growth
• Assist the build of a consistently robust top of the funnel through proactive outreach, existing executive team and Board of Directors relationships, former add-on sellers, industry conference attendance, brokers, and other relevant referral sources
• Develop and oversee all mediums that market the Company to prospective sellers. Ensure pitch decks, outreach templates, etc. are consistently up-to-date with the latest, most effective value propositions to prospective sellers
• Along with the executive leadership team, travel to meet with prospective sellers in person. Build exceptionally strong relationships that can be leveraged to successfully negotiate a deal
• Develop in-depth investment memorandums and present to senior management regarding transaction rationale
• Provide leadership toward additional value-added activities and support operational and departmental excellence
• Maintain honest and ethical conduct at all times
• Through personal example, establish the style and approach that will characterize the company’s dealings and reputation in the marketplace
